U of T Food Services x Veg Club
During the month of February 2026, in collaboration with the Veg Club, St. George Food Services participated in the Meatless Monday Passport Program. This was an interactive, campus-wide initiative encouraging students to explore plant-based eating and make more sustainable food choices.
This program highlighted the connection between food and sustainability, giving students an opportunity to discover plant-based meals at different Food Services locations across campus. Through a weekly passport challenge, students were encouraged to try new dishes, visit different dining locations and collect stickers along the way for a chance to win prizes!
By making plant-based dining fun and accessible, the initiative aimed to build awareness of sustainable food choices and encourage students to explore more plant-based options as part of their everyday dining experience.
How the program worked:
- Students registered for the challenge and picked up a physical passport at participating locations.
- Each week, a different dining location was featured, highlighting its plant-based menu options.
- Students received a sticker for each plant-based meal purchased during the week.
- Participants could collect up to 14 stickers across seven locations and submit their passports for a chance to win prizes.
To help promote this initiative, we worked closely with the Veg Club on digital signage, print materials and social media content to spread the word and encourage participation.
Small changes, shared impact.
