ALLERGIES, INTOLERANCES & DIETARY NEEDS
We are committed to providing the resources and support you may need to help you make suitable food choices on campus.
As you explore the diverse dining options around campus, you’ll find it easy to identify various food allergens and dietary preferences. Simply refer to the icons provided below, which visually represent key information about each dish. These symbols will help you make informed choices that align with your dietary needs, ensuring a delightful and safe dining experience.
Please note: Our allergen icons may appear in one of two colour versions depending on the dining location, but the symbols and meanings remain the same across campus. If you have any questions or need clarification, please speak to a staff member.
Before you move into residence, be sure to complete our Dietary Restrictions – Self Declaration Form and our team will connect with you to discuss our menu options and possible food accommodations. You will need your official U of T login and email to access the form.
You will also be introduced to the Food Service culinary team and our Residence Dining Managing Chef who can help to address concerns throughout the year. Fill out the form now.
While our facilities are not allergen-free and there may be risk of cross-contamination, our staff members adhere to food safety standards to minimize risk and to help ensure a safe dining experience.
If you are unsure of the ingredients in a food item, be sure to ask staff members for more information. A chef or manager will always be available to speak with you.
Check our website to see weekly menus, nutrition, and ingredient and allergen information to plan your meals ahead of time.
You can also access this information through our mobile app. Information on how to download the app can be found here.
Other precautions you can take to ensure your safety include keeping your medication and autoinjectors with you in case of emergency.
